JOSEPH JEWELL RUSSIAN RIVER “RUBIES”’13 – Sourced from four sites including the dry-farmed Hallberg Vineyard in Green Valley, this lasts on the clean red cherry flavor of Russian River pinot noir picked at moderate ripeness. It shows some delicacy in a rose petal aroma and sandy tannins that focus the fruit. With a day of air, an alcohol warmth begins to show through, suggesting that it’s a pinot noir to drink on the young side, while it’s still juicy and ebullient.”………129.99

JOSEPH JEWELL RUSSIAN RIVER “STARSCAPE”’14 – Moderately dark garnet color in the glass. Nice floral, pine forest and spiced cherry perfume. KENDALL JACKSON SONOMA “PETALUMA”’17 – The Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir is a new acquisition for the Jackson Estate lineup. The Cloud Landing Vineyard is planted to a mix of clones including 21 percent Calera, 36 percent 667 and 43 percent 777. The limited release pinot is a spice bomb reflecting its unique Petaluma Gap site that was established as an AVA in 2018. The 18-mile opening in the California coastal range, between Sonoma and Marin Counties, acts as a wind tunnel, pulling marine fog in off the coast, cooling anything in its way before spilling into the San Pablo Bay. The persistent winds and cool climate produce smaller berries and slightly thicker skins, and eventually a richer, full-blown style of new world pinot. The style is savoury with spicy red and blue fruit with a dusting of toasted oak.”………32.99

LA CHAMPIGNON MONTEREY’15………….37.99

LONG MEADOW ANDERSON’15 – “This new wine from an estate vineyard is the strong, quiet type that’s not effusively fruity but instead emphasizes mineral elements and great structure. An attractive chalky, spicy aroma leads to beautifully restrained red cherry and pomegranate flavors that seem to grow and expand with each sip. The texture is firmly tannic but also polished, supported by perfect acidity that keeps everything sharp and focused.”…….80.99
