MIRASSOU CALIFORNIA’12  –  In the glass the wine appears garnet in color.  Fairly dark for a Pinot Noir, however light does shine through.  Leggy on the sides of the glass.  The drips moved slowly, hinting at a heavier Pinot Noir.  On the nose, Mirassou Pinot Noir gives forth aromas of earthiness.  Also noted was a slight whiff of alcohol alongside a pleasant ripe rasberry aroma.  On the palate, this wine delivers delicious fruits of raspberry and plum.  The slightest bit of dryness accompanies a dark flavor of cherry, vanilla and oak.”…….29.99
