ELDERTON ESTATE BAROSSA “ASHMEAD” “SINGLE VINEYARD” CABERNET SAUVIGNON’09 – The 2009 Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from a single estate owned block that was planted prior to WWII. Deep garnet-purple colored, it offers lovely vanilla and spice notes over a core of black currants and blackberries with hints of pencil shavings and cedar. Medium to full bodied, it is both rich and nicely poised on the palate with a solid backbone of medium-firm fine grained tannins, crisp acid and a long and spicy finish.”………149.99

PENFOLDS SOUTH EASTERN  “BIN 389” CABERNET SAUVIGNON-SHIRAZ’13  –  A blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon and 46% Shiraz made with fruit from Wrattonbully, Barossa, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek and Robe that was aged 12 months in American oak hogsheads, 40% of which were new, the deep garnet-purple colored 2012 Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz is slightly closed with the Cabernet / cassis leading the nose marked by warm red and black plums, Mediterranean herbs, pepper and cedar. In the mouth notes of vanilla and cedar wrap around the warm black fruit core that is framed by firm, chewy tannins and just enough acid. It finishes long.”………89.99
