CHATEAU GRAND-PEY-LESCOURS  SAINT EMILION GRAND CRU10  –  “Château Grand-Pey-Lescours located southwest of the town of Saint-Emilion, in the appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Contrôlée . Saint-Emilion has four classifications: Saint-Emilion, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé and the top Grand Cru Classé A and B. Château Grand-Pey-Lescours a Grand Cru and thus will be coming from St. Emilion guaranteed and the wine must be made according to strict rules. The climate is mild. The soil is composed of calcareous clay soil. Traditional vinification and sophisticated wood aging of partly new and partly explain older barrels of French oak are understated style.Château Grand-Pey-Lescours Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from an average of 25 years old vines.
