Executive Chef Simon DeJohn
Our new Executive Chef Simon DeJohn started with us seven years ago as he commenced his studies at Le Cordon Bleu. He progressed from station to station, eventually becoming an extremely valuable Sous Chef responsible for some of our most popular dishes. He has waited patiently for this opportunity and has seized it with vigor and passion.
Manager Bill Kunkel – 25 Year Veteran
Bill Kunkel joined The Carlton fresh out of Penn State in 1986. He has learned the restaurant business from the ground up working as a Serving Assistant, Server, Corporate Business Planner and finally as Manager. He is a customer focused manager that works tirelessly to ensure that each and every guest enjoys a superior experience when they visit. He does much to make sure that The Carlton’s wine inventory is well organized and our extensive list up to date. Bill is our Party Specialist and the person you need to contact when planning that special business, anniversary or rehearsal dinner party!
Maitre D Janet McClelland – 27 Year Veteran
Janet McClelland had worked at numerous Pittsburgh restaurants before joining The Carlton’s opening team in December of 1984. For 25 years she has been the heart, soul and spirit of our restaurant. She is likely to be the familiar voice when you are making a reservation and is the first person to greet you when you arrive. Janet will remember your name, your special requests and always possesses the customer focused warmth that helps to set our restaurant apart.
