BNY Mellon Jazz Presents JazzLive
JazzLive is a free, year-round live jazz series taking place at The Cabaret at Theater Square, Backstage Bar, and Katz Plaza. Open to the public, this popular Pittsburgh Cultural Trust music series showcases some of the region’s finest jazz musicians every Tuesday from 5pm – 11pm in the heart of the Cultural District.
In the summer, live jazz moves outdoors to Katz Plaza from 5pm – 7pm
Dining and drinks are available at the Backstage Bar.
Market Square Farmers Market
Thursday, July 15th 2010 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Market Square
Check out the best market Downtown. With hot pierogies, fresh flowers, berries, baked goods, and over 50 varieties of produce, this market has it all! New this year…Clover Creek Cheese Cellar. The Farmers Market is programmed by Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA), in conjunction with the Thursday lunchtime concert programmed by CBS Radio.

Pirates vs. Phillies. Your Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday, July 1st- Sunday, July 4th. Visit PNC Park to cheer on the home team. Thursday is free T-Shirt day!

Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta. The 33rd annual Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta begins Saturday, July 3 through Sunday, July 4. The tri-state comes alive in one fun-filled and FREE festival of air, land and water entertainment. Featuring skydiving, B.A.S.E. jumping and paragliding by the extreme Redbull Airforce Team. And, Regatta hosts the Powerboat Superleague North American Championships! July 4, see the the EQT “Flashes of Freedom” Fireworks Fantasia, renown as one of the best pyrotechnic displays in the country… plus, music for every age and appetite. Beautiful Point State Park and the surrounding city blocks get an artistic makeover for ten days this June for the annual Three Rivers Arts Festival. Artists, musicians and vendors celebrate the art in Pittsburgh and invite you to join from June 4th-13th!
The 50th anniversary marks the long awaited return of Three Rivers Arts Festival to the newly revitalized Point State Park, where the Dollar Bank Main Stage, an expanded Artists Market footprint and the Children’s Area are located. Through the continued use of Gateway Center and the addition of the gallery-and-theater network found in the Cultural District, thousands will discover–as they journey from exhibition spaces to restaurants, theaters, live stages and gathering places–why Pittsburgh is credited as one of the strongest cultural destinations in the country.
