wine-glassPlease join us on Friday, February 8 for a very special Wine Dinner when Stan “the Wine Man” Lalic presents Christoph Kunzli, owner and Winemaker of Le Piane in Northern Piemonte, Italy.

Stan has hosted 35 “Best of Italy” dinners with us over the years, but until now has never brought a Winemaker to visit! Kunzli is a native of Switzerland who has gained distinction for his work reviving the vineyards of the Boca DOC. Le Piane is a tiny Piemonte winery nestled in the hills of the Lower Alps that produces one wine – Le Piane Boca – a blend of Nebbiolo (85%) and Vesppolina (15%).

We will be sampling five different vintages that have all gained international acclaim winning Tre Bicchieri Awards (95-100 points) from Gambero Rosso – Italy’s leading ratings guide. Kunzli’s wines have also attracted the attention of Robert Parker who awarded the 2007 vintage “93” points and the 2008 vintage “96” points!

Christoph Kunzli is a vibrant, well-spoken individual who is sure to entertain!  Robert Parker has described his wines as “a balance of focus and power that is simply stunning.
