City to reap cold cash from Winter Classic
He believes the day has the potential to be much better for restaurants than a typical Steelers Sunday, when most people leave the city right after the game. With so many out-of-town guests, the Classic should be different.
“Any time the hotel rooms are at capacity Downtown, restaurants should look for a nice boost in business,” he said. “We expect that it will be good. We hope VisitPittsburgh has its thumb on the pulse, so to speak, and we’ll have brisk business on New Year’s Day.”
