1 – Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning

A Quick “Bite” of History

Although food historians and other research experts don’t have a clear answer to the history of cooking, there are multiple proposed theories out there…

Food in History author Reay Tannahill tells us that for hundereds of years, the human race had eaten its food raw, but at some point between the first DELIBERATE use of fire – in Africa: 1,400,000 BC or in Asia: 500,000 BC – and the appearance of the Neanderthals on the prehistoric scene, C O O K I N G  W A S   D I S C O V E R E D .’ He goes on to say that “Improved health must certainly have been one result of the discovery of cooking, and it has even been argued, by the late Carleton Coon, that cooking was the decisive factor in leading man from a primarily animal existence into one that was more fully human’.”
