Montevina Wine Dinner – August 1

MontevinaOur Summer Wine Dinner Series concludes on Thursday, August 1 when Jeff Meyers – the most experienced winemaker in the Sierra Foothills drops in The Carlton to sample his Montevina Terra D’Oro selections!

Jeff joined Montevina in 1981 after graduating from Cal Davis and has never left!  He served as General Manager of the Winery since 1986 – continuing after it was purchased by Trinchero Family Estates in 1988.  Jeff crafts Italian varietals and some Zinfandels that have distinct Amador County characteristics!   Come sample his unique selections! Buena Vista Wine Dinner – July 26

Buena VistaPlease join us on Friday, July 26 when we feature the emerging new blockbusters from Buena Vista – Sonoma’s oldest winery! Founded in 1857 by Count Ageston Haraszthy – the historic winery has been brought back to life by John-Charles Boisset!

Boisset, who along with his family own over 24 wineries around the world restored this historic winery that he had once visited as a child. Boisset invested heavily making Buena Vista Winery a top Sonoma tourist attraction and then brought in a skilled winemaking team led by David Ramey to make wines worthy of the tradition. Winery Founder Count Ageston Haraszthy – played by character actor George Webber – will host what should be a most entertaining, and delicious evening!
