Gary Eberle – Eberle Winery – “Pioneer of the Paso Robles Wine Region”
Tuesday, October 4, 2016 – 6:30 PM
Special Pittsburgh Wine Dinner
After a 6-year hiatus, Pittsburgh’s own Gary Eberle returns to The Carlton to host a Pittsburgh Wine Dinner featuring his award winning wines! Gary made full use of his football scholarship at Penn State to study biology and did graduate work in cellular genetics at LSU where a professor introduced him to the magical world of food and wine. While working on his doctorate at UC Davis, Gary realized the untapped potential of the Paso Robles wine region, and opened Eberle Winery there in 1983!
“The Godfather of Paso Robles”
Today, Gary and his family produce over 25,000 cases of wine each year and Eberle Winery remains one of the top award winning wineries in the U.S. We hope that you can help to make Gary’s homecoming special and we know that you will enjoy his wines paired with Chef Simon’s cuisine. Our Eberle Wine Dinner will be one of Pittsburgh’s best wine dinners in 2016. Call 412.391.4099 for reservations. Menu and price forthcoming.
