Time for Wine

In honor of the beginning of summer we found some great and unique recipes on Hubpages. Wine is not typically something one thinks of when making a smoothie. However, these Summer Wine Smoothies are to die for! There are many options and substitutions. It is also something many people have never tried.
Rad Berry Red Wine Smoothie
- 2 cups frozen raspberries
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1-1/2 cups red wine
Combine in a blender and mix until smooth. For a creamier smoothie, add more yogurt. You can also try other ingredients, like substitute the yogurt with a fresh banana, or try using other kinds of frozen berries.
Tropical White Wine Smoothie
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup frozen pineapple pieces
- 1 fresh banana
- 1-1/2 cups white wine
In a blender, mix until smooth. For a zing, use a bit less wine and replace with lemonade or limeade. This refreshing drink will send you buzzing through summer.
